One of my favourite Actresses from last year and who I find truly inspiring is Jennifer Lawrence.
Not just because of her Critical acclaim this year, already winning 3 Critics Choice awards, 2 Golden Globes and being Academy Award Nominated for Best Actress; She takes on such a diverse range of characters.
Becoming a HUGE fan of the Hunger Games Trilogy, I can;t wait for the second of the films to come out...although it's a long way off. Then she went onto star in the horror "House at the end of the Street", which couldn't be more polar opposite from the bow and arrow talents of Katniss.
Then there's Silver Linings Playbook. I was unaware before I went to see this film of what genre it actually fell under. The adverts suggested comedy although I'd heard about it having a darker narrative and was so pleasantly surprised by how Director David O Russell balance these genres. A very real window into the lives of Pat and Tiffany and the different mental illnesses they had.
This wasn't just a chick flick nor a depressing drama, but a heart warming story of family and relationships. Who knew Dance was such a healer...
